AC Condensate Overflow — Auxiliary Pan or Ceiling Leak
Likely causes
Primary drain fault + secondary safety pan/switch check
Check: Main drain fault (clog/slope/pump) = pan overflows. Ceiling-recessed = mandatory auxiliary pan + float switch (per KS/IMC). Float switch trip = system shut + error code. Ceiling discoloration/mold/moisture = long-running issue. Heavy water in auxiliary pan = dispatch immediately.
What to do: Empty auxiliary pan → repair main drain (clog/pump/slope). Damaged ceiling = repaint/replace (separate post-service charge). Verify aux switch (test: lift float by hand → system should stop). Test secondary system yearly.
Ceiling recessed = mandatory auxiliary pan + float switch. Missing/inoperative = poor workmanship + liability. Required by Korean KS, US IRC, UPC. Annual aux test = installer safety net.
All 565 cases work offline in R-Pro, with error codes for 62 brands and P-T data for 108 refrigerants.
