AC R-32 Leak Response — A2L Safety Procedure

A2L flammability class safety procedure

Check: R-32 = ASHRAE 34 A2L (low toxicity, mildly flammable). LFL = 14%. On leak: 1) System OFF + breaker OFF. 2) Ventilate (open windows, run exhaust fan). 3) Remove ignition sources (stoves, lighters, static). 4) Evacuate people. 5) Use A2L-compatible detector.

What to do: After ventilation = measure concentration with A2L detector. Apply recovery (separate case). Repair leak = brazing/flare redo — torch with A2L requires ventilation, extinguisher, second person. After repair = vacuum + N₂ leak test + weighed R-32 recharge (see separate case).
