AC Remote Control No Response — Battery, IR, Signal Diagnosis
Likely causes
Check battery, IR LED, indoor receiver
Check: Battery voltage near 1.5V (new). IR LED test = aim remote at phone camera, press button → if violet light visible on screen, LED works. Indoor receiver = check direct sunlight/dust blocking. Battery terminal corrosion = use contact cleaner.
What to do: Replace all batteries (alkaline ≥1.5V). Corrosion = clean with vinegar then new batteries. IR LED dead = replace remote (cheap). Receiver bad = replace indoor PCB. Wired controller = check signal-wire break/pins. Some remotes require pairing reset (per manual).
Remote fault = user-doable diagnosis. Educate before dispatch = phone-camera IR test. Weak battery = some functions fail or short range. Direct sun on receiver = permanent damage possible (recommend blinds/shading).
