AC — Uneven Cooling Left/Right or Floor-by-Floor
Likely causes
Check air distribution balance (ducts, diffusers, vanes)
Check: Insufficient capacity = BTU not matching area (1 RT ≈ 33 m²). Vane position = aim toward far side of room. Ducted system (ceiling) = balance dampers at each diffuser. Per-room ±20% or 25 CFM (ENERGY STAR). Multi-floor = ground cooler, upper warmer → also check insulation/infiltration.
What to do: Action per cause: insufficient capacity = add indoor unit or multi-zone. Enable auto vane swing. Damper = balance with anemometer. Poor insulation = reinforce wall/window insulation + exterior shading. Multi-floor = separate per-floor systems or VRF.
Capacity vs area = often a quoting flaw from inadequate margin. 1 RT ≈ 33 m² baseline + adjust for external factors (exposed wall, glazing, ceiling height, occupants, heat load). If discovered after install = add zone or improve insulation.
All 565 cases work offline in R-Pro, with error codes for 62 brands and P-T data for 108 refrigerants.
