AC — Warm Air from Discharge / No Cooling Function

Verify cooling vs fan mode + 4-way valve / compressor operation

Check: Confirm remote in COOL mode (not FAN/DRY). Outdoor compressor = check running sound/vibration. 4-way valve (heat pump) = energized to cooling position (test coil solenoid). Compressor not running = see no-output case. Running but no cooling = severely undercharged (very low suction) or 4-way valve leak.

What to do: Cooling mode + compressor running + 4-way valve OK = inspect refrigerant circuit (charge, EEV, fault search). 4-way valve internal leak = coil OK but hot gas bypasses internally to suction = replace valve body. Compressor not running = proceed to no-output case diagnostics.
