Duct Leak Test — Duct Blaster / Anemometer
Likely causes
Duct Blaster pressurization + airflow measurement
Check: Pressurize duct to 25 Pa with Duct Blaster → measure leakage (CFM or L/s). Pass criterion = <6% of design CFM (Korean LEED), <10% (US Title 24 California). Locate leaks with hand or smoke generator. Seal with aluminum tape or mastic sealant.
What to do: Pressurize duct to 25 Pa with Duct Blaster → measure leakage (CFM or L/s). Pass: Korean LEED <6%, US Title 24 <10%. Trace leaks = hand or smoke generator. Seal with aluminum-backed tape or mastic. Re-test after sealing to confirm pass.
10% duct leakage = 15% energy cost increase. Mandatory in new Korean LEED/G-SEED builds. Old buildings = avoid vinyl tape (corrodes/fouls in 5 years). Use aluminum-backed tape or mastic. Exposed ducts = annual check.
All 565 cases work offline in R-Pro, with error codes for 62 brands and P-T data for 108 refrigerants.
