Precision AC Dehumid-Only Mode — Reheat / Response Time
Likely causes
Dehumid + reheat mechanism check
Check: Winter server room = ambient cold, only dehumid mode runs. Reheat coil = brings air back to setpoint after dehumid. Reheat fault = room overcools, exits economy mode. Response time = 50→60% RH change within 30 min (large IDC). Too fast = hunting; stability > precision.
What to do: Configure BMS auto seasonal mode switch (winter = dehumid + reheat). Verify reheat coil operation (electric or hot-gas recovery). Response time = 50→60% RH stabilizes within 30 min. Too-fast response = hunting; tune P/I/D parameters.
Reheat = electric or hot-gas (compressor discharge) recovery. Hot-gas type = efficient but complex. Electric reheat = simple but high electricity cost. Seasonal mode auto-switching = mandatory in BMS program.
