Refrigerant Recovery — No Venting, Use Recovery Machine

Likely causes

Regulatory/environmental duty + recovery standard

Check: Korea Air Quality Act §46 — refrigerant recovery/recycling registered. R-22 (ozone)/R-410A (GWP 2088)/R-32 (675)/R-454B (466). Venting → license revoke + fine. EU F-Gas 514/2024 same. Recovery target: residual to ‑10 inHg, or 5 min with no pressure rebound.

What to do: Procedure: ① Recovery machine + recovery cylinder + manifold + vacuum gauge. ② Power OFF, connect LP/HP. ③ Liquid recovery first → gas recovery. ④ Record cylinder weight difference (attach to invoice). ⑤ Verify vacuum after (≥-10 inHg). Don't exceed 80% cylinder fill (thermal expansion). Never mix refrigerants — use single-type cylinder.

Field tip

Cylinder colors (KS B 6377 + ARI 2020): R-22=light green, R-410A=pink, R-32=light teal, R-454B=red+green stripe. Korea: register with Korea Refrigerant Recycling Association. Keep recovery receipts 5 yrs (MOE audit). Eco certification impossible without recovery machine.
