Reciprocating Crankshaft Oil Pump Shaft Wear — Oil Pressure Below 0.15 MPa Trip
Likely causes
Oil pump rotor shaft bore clearance exceeds 0.08 mm — internal leakage lowers oil pressure
Check: Direct-connect oil pressure gauge — normal: net oil pressure 0.2~0.4 MPa. Stop immediately if below 0.15 MPa within 30 seconds of startup. Check oil strainer/filter for clogging (replace immediately if ≥60%)
What to do: Replace oil strainer and filter → if oil pressure not improved, disassemble oil pump: measure rotor shaft clearance → replace oil pump if clearance exceeds 0.08 mm → check oil viscosity (replace if refrigerant-diluted)
Oil pressure switch malfunction — actual oil pressure is normal but switch false-trips
Check: Compare direct gauge reading vs switch trip pressure — if gauge shows normal (≥0.2 MPa) but switch trips, switch is faulty. Check switch diaphragm for degradation
What to do: Replace oil pressure switch → reset trip pressure after replacement (normal: trip at 0.15 MPa, reset at ≥0.20 MPa)
Oil pressure trip = immediately identify cause. Must confirm normal oil pressure before restart. Direct gauge measurement is the fastest way to verify suspected oil pressure switch malfunction.
