Remote Control Reception Failure — Commands Not Transmitted

Likely causes

IR receiver contamination or direct sunlight interference — poor signal recognition

Check: Use smartphone camera to verify remote control IR emission (purple light visible through camera) → visually inspect IR receiver for contamination

What to do: Clean IR receiver with IPA (isopropanol) → install direct sunlight shielding → replace remote control batteries and retry

Remote control PCB failure — no signal transmission

Check: Use smartphone camera to check IR emission from remote — no emission indicates PCB failure → cross-check with another remote control

What to do: Replace remote control → temporarily substitute with wired remote or app control → verify compatibility with same model before replacement

Indoor unit receiver board failure — signal processing failure after reception

Check: Confirm normal IR emission from remote → check receiver board power voltage (5V DC) → check if board beacon LED responds

What to do: Replace receiver board → re-confirm address settings after replacement → re-register remote control pairing

Field tip

Remote control IR emission can be checked instantly with a smartphone camera — first check before replacing batteries.
