Abnormal Ice Size
Likely causes
Spray nozzle blockage
Check: Visually confirm all nozzle spray patterns — if some holes not spraying = blockage; if water pressure normal (1.4~2.5 bar) but ice is small = nozzle issue
What to do: Remove nozzles, soak in acid descaler for 1 hour → clean holes with thin wire → reinstall
Water pressure out of range (too low or too high)
Check: Measure with pressure gauge — normal 1.4~2.5 bar; below 0.7 bar = small ice; above 3 bar = uneven ice shape
What to do: If low: adjust PRV or clean piping; if high: adjust PRV to set at 2 bar
Thickness sensor misconfiguration
Check: Measure actual ice thickness with calipers — compare against reference thickness (5~7mm)
What to do: Readjust thickness sensor set value to reference; if sensor position misaligned, reinstall
Incomplete freezing due to high water temperature
Check: Measure incoming water temperature — above 25°C produces thinner ice in the same cycle; also measure ambient temperature
What to do: Insulate supply line; extend cycle timer setting; reduce ambient temperature
If ice is too small = check water pressure first; if size is uneven = check nozzles first — the two symptoms have different causes
