Cloudy or Opaque Ice
Likely causes
High water TDS (excess dissolved solids)
Check: Measure incoming water TDS with TDS meter — target 50~150 ppm; above 300 ppm = poor water quality
What to do: Install RO filter or replace filter cartridge; adjust to TDS below 150 ppm
Insufficient water circulation (poor spray)
Check: Visually inspect spray nozzles — blocked holes = uneven spray; measure circulation pump flow rate
What to do: Remove nozzles and clean with acid-based descaler; clean pump impeller of scale deposits
Heavy scale on ice-making plate
Check: Check scale thickness on evaporator plate — above 2mm recommend replacement; visually confirm scale particles on ice surface
What to do: Circulate nickel-safe cleaner 1:16 dilution for 1 hour → rinse 3 times; above 2mm replace plate
Freezing too fast (over-cooling)
Check: Log cycle timer — freeze cycle below 10 min = over-cooling suspect; suction pressure below -20°C saturation = overcharge or EEV over-opening
What to do: Readjust EEV superheat to 4~6°C; if refrigerant overcharged, recover and recharge
Clear ice requires TDS 50~150 ppm + adequate circulation — check water quality first, refrigeration system second
All 565 cases work offline in R-Pro, with error codes for 62 brands and P-T data for 108 refrigerants.
