DIP Switch Address Conflict Causing Indoor Unit Communication Clash
Likely causes
Duplicate DIP address setting among indoor units within the same system
Check: Document all indoor unit DIP switch addresses → verify if duplicate addresses exist → look up faulty indoor unit addresses on controller diagnostic screen
What to do: Change DIP switch of duplicate indoor unit (reset to unique address) → power OFF outdoor unit and wait 30 seconds → start outdoor unit first, wait 3 minutes, then start indoor units → check LED communication status (red→green)
DIP addresses not configured after installation (factory defaults left unchanged)
Check: Check all indoor unit DIP switch settings → verify if factory defaults (usually all OFF or address 0) are still in use → check if multiple indoor units have same address
What to do: Assign unique address to each indoor unit (numbered from 1 in sequence) → after DIP switch setting, restart entire system → confirm all indoor units recognized normally on controller screen
After DIP address reset, start outdoor unit first (3 min) → then indoor units in sequence for stable communication. Confirm LED red→green transition.
