Excessive Heat Load from Direct Sunlight or Lighting

Likely causes

Direct sunlight exposure — 20~30% capacity reduction

Check: Check direct sunlight exposure times at showcase location — ambient above 27°C + direct sunlight simultaneously causes serious capacity reduction

What to do: Apply UV-blocking film or install blinds; consider relocating showcase; if shading not possible, increase refrigeration capacity

Excessive ceiling lighting heat load — fluorescent/halogen other than LED

Check: Check lighting type directly above showcase — halogen/fluorescent above 200W = serious heat load; verify if replaced with LED

What to do: Replace with LED lighting (4000K, CRI 80+ recommended); adjust lighting direction to minimize direct exposure

Internal showcase LED heat generation

Check: Measure internal LED surface temperature — above 50°C = excessive heat; verify LED driver output (12V/24V normal); check for non-spec LED replacements

What to do: Replace with spec LED and driver; if needed, verify LED heatsink condition

Field tip

Showcase ambient above 27°C = 20~30% cooling capacity reduction; add direct sunlight and setpoint maintenance becomes impossible — location selection and shading are the fundamental measures
