Full-Bin Sensor Error
Likely causes
IR sensor lens contamination (ice/water droplet deposits)
Check: Visually inspect IR sensor lens — water droplets, frost, scale deposits; contamination accounts for 90% of false full-bin detections
What to do: Wipe lens with dry cloth; if frosted, remove with lukewarm water; establish periodic cleaning schedule (monthly)
Sensor misalignment (transmissive IR: emitter-receiver axis offset)
Check: Check sensor mounting bracket — may have shifted from impact; verify emitter-receiver alignment
What to do: Realign bracket and secure; tighten sensor angle adjustment screws; test full/not-full operation after adjustment
Sensor itself failed
Check: Measure sensor signal wire voltage — should change between ice present/absent; no change = sensor failed
What to do: Replace with same spec IR sensor; adjust sensitivity and operational test after replacement
90% of full-bin sensor errors are lens contamination — clean first, replace parts last; monthly lens cleaning is the best prevention
All 565 cases work offline in R-Pro, with error codes for 62 brands and P-T data for 108 refrigerants.
