Hinge/Spring Wear — Automatic Door Closing Failure

Likely causes

Hinge spring fatigue fracture

Check: Check auto-return speed when door is opened and released — takes over 5 seconds or cannot fully close = spring failure; visually check hinge spring for fractures

What to do: Replace hinge assembly (same spec); retighten hinge bolts — M6 standard 8~10 N·m

Gasket damage — poor air seal even when door is closed

Check: 0.76mm paper test — perform on all 4 sides of door; sections with no resistance = air seal failure; especially focus on bottom section

What to do: Replace all 4-side gasket; reconfirm with paper test after replacement; for magnet gaskets, also verify magnetic force

Hinge bolt loosening — door vertical alignment distorted

Check: Check gap uniformity at top and bottom of door — gap skewed to one side = hinge bolt loosening; manually wiggle hinge bolt to check for play

What to do: Retighten hinge bolts to M6 standard 8~10 N·m; replace if bolt thread is damaged; confirm door vertical realignment

Field tip

Gasket paper test (0.76mm) and hinge bolt torque (8~10 N·m) — these two values are the basic standards for door inspection; 6-month preventive inspection recommended
